Welcome to Camp Thurman!

Camp Thurman has been providing the best day camp in the Arlington/Pantego area since 1969 and the most effective team building adventures for almost 10 years!

Our mission is to provide for all ages safe, fun, wholesome outdoor programs, which demonstrate God's love, while helping individuals discover who they are in Christ.

Day Camps

CT's traditional Day Camp from 4 years old through the fifth grade. Celebrating over 40 years of fun and adventure, campers experience our full range of age appropriate activities from swimming, group games, and challenge adventures.

Night Camps

Our Afternoon/Evening Camps give campers entering 7th, 8th, or 9th in fall 2015 a chance to see how fun the evening at CT can be. We have created a special atmosphere for our older campers with programs and activities just for their age, and now we are offering an Overnight Camp with that unique Camp Thurman touch for our 7th, 8th, and 9th graders.

Challenge Adventures

Adventure days are designed to create spaces for groups to build trust, improve communication, practice problem-solving, and develop closer relationships with one another.

Camp Thurman has a wide variety of activities, great location and is Christian based. The communication with our counselor was great, we were able to text, call and email him. Every day my child begged to go back to camp because he had so much fun! - David A

This Thanksgiving Mission Arlington will serve over 6,000 families by providing food for their Thanksgiving dinner! Due to a shortage of turkeys, Mission Arlington is struggling to receive all of the turkeys they need to make this possible. Camp Thurman is dedicated to helping and have committed to provide 50 turkeys for Mission Arlington! We are asking local businesses to match our donation of 50 turkeys. We are also asking our camp families and staff to donate turkeys and canned foods (vegetables, fruit, sweet potatoes, etc.) You can donate by dropping off items at Mission Arlington or by bringing your donations to CT. We will be accepting donations through Tuesday, November 24th when we deliver the items to Mission Arlington! Please consider donating this year as we remember how thankful we are for all God has done for each of us. ... See MoreSee Less

We must take a moment to say THANK YOU CT families!! In just 20 days of registration for our 2016 summer, we are blessed to say that 50% of our spots have been filled!!! Our God is amazing and we cannot express how thankful we are for the opportunity to pour the love of our Savior into the lives of you and our campers!!
Rick Warren said: " The Bible teaches us that we are blessed not just so that we can feel good, not just so we can be happy and comfortable, but so that we will bless others. God told Abraham in Genesis 12:2, “I will bless you ... and you will be a blessing”."
THANK YOU for allowing us to bless your children the way you have blessed HIS ministry here at CT! We simply cannot wait to see what HE has in store for us all in 2016!

Pools Now Open!

Rainy Day Information

Parents, Guardians and Campers:

We are monitoring the weather conditions very closely! At Camp Thurman safety is our highest priority!

In the case of a rainy day, camp will resume as usual.  Campers schedules will not be impacted by rain.  In the case of more severe weather such as lightning or thunder, all of our ropes activities and swimming pools will be closed until the all clear has been given to resume normal activities.

Campers will continue their day on rainy day schedules that are packed full of games, skits and silly songs under our shelters.  This makes for a fun and unique day at CT.  In the event of anything more severe than a thunderstorm, campers will be moved to our covered storm shelters.  Our primary goal is to make sure that your campers are always safe!

Our desire is to allow the camp day to continue as long as it is possible and safe. In the event that conditions deteriorate to the point that the camp property is no longer safe we will post information on our Facebook page and website.  Please check them regularly for updates.

**Please note, if parents/guardians/carpools begin picking up campers early on their own without notice from the CT staff it will seriously impact our ability to bring campers to you in a timely basis. Our staff is assigned to be with your children and there is no crew available to go and get campers a handful at a time during a regular/rainy day schedule.
