Administrative Staff

Our senior director is James C. Rose. Jim has been on the administrative staff for more than 30 years. He supervises all the aspects of the camp, including the summer day and evening camps, the team building workshops for groups, the Family Treasure Days, and staff/leadership training camps. Kristin Kimmell

CT's Administrator is Kristin Kimmell. Kristin was part of the counseling staff for 6 years and has now been on the administrative staff for 15 years. As administrator, she is personnel supervisor, office manager, merchandising manager, and in-house accountant. You may reach her at kristin@campthurman.org.

Director of Team Challenge and CIT Supervisor is Cindy Hatchell. Cindy has been a part of the CT administrative staff for 11 years. Glenda Keilstrup

Our Registrar is Glenda Keilstrup. She is also our webmaster and summer schedule supervisor. Glenda has been a part of the administrative team for 15 years. You may reach her at glendak22@flash.net.

The summer site director is Blake Bowman. Blake was on the staff as a counselor for many years and returned 4 years ago to join the administrative staff. In the non-summer season he is a teacher at a Mansfield elementary. You may reach him at blake@campthurman.org.

Mary Hibbs is in her second year as our Community Outreach Director. She also works with Cindy Hatchell in the teambuilding challenge programs and with the counseling staff summer on low ropes elements and the CCD program. You may reach her at mghibbs5@yahoo.com.

This administrative staff trains and works with over 300 young people for the summer season and an additional 15 certified facilitators for the Team Building workshops.

Camp Thurman is a non-profit organization directed by a 12-member board of advisors.

Our mission is to provide for all ages safe, fun, wholesome outdoor programs, which demonstrate God's love, while helping individuals discover who they are in Christ.
