What a joy it has been
to serve at Camp Thurman this past summer! God graced us with
cooler temperatures, an excellent staff, and over 5000 campers.
However, there will be hundreds of applicants we are not able to place
again this season because of lack of space.
It is no secret that
God has blessed us on our 14 acres the past 40 years, and we are
extremely humble and thankful for that blessing. It is now
evident to the board of directors and the administrative staff that
there is a definite need for expansion.
EXPANSION MEANS:

Acquiring property
to minister to more children through Summer Day Camp

Facilities and staff
for expanding leadership training for 13-17 year old youth

Overnight lodging
for youth development, team building, and retreats

Expanding our
outreach to special needs campers

100 additional
Camper Scholarships

Staff to direct the
expansion process
Camp Thurman is
looking to our camp families and friends regarding this major
expansion effort. We are asking you to partner with us in the
business of people building. Expansion will allow us to
facilitate leadership and personal growth and meet emotional,
physical, and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and groups
of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds.
We believe God has
blessed Camp Thurman, and His hand has guided us through these
years. As we move into our 40th year and the next phase of our
ministry, we ask you to consider giving of your time and resources
to partner with us to raise the funds needed to take the necessary
steps. All contributions will be deposited in the Expansion
Fund and will be distributed only for expansion purposes.
