Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.

— Isaiah 40:26 (NLT)

Aurora

Aurora is so excited to be working her 5th summer at Camp Thurman! She is entering her junior year at Baylor University where she is studying hard for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Poverty Studies and Social Justice. She plans to continue her education through post-grad studies, and eventually wants to serve God’s people through a career in public health. But for now, Aurora is following God’s call to enjoy life and establish her roots in Jesus, so that she will have the foundation for whatever adventure may come after Baylor.

In her free time, Aurora enjoys spending time with friends, singing, drawing, reading (always looking for recommendations for her summer reading list), and exploring the great outdoors. To her, Camp Thurman is a place where joy and love are as present as the Texas summer heat, and where she has received constant encouragement in Jesus from other staff and campers. She is drawn back to camp by the Christ-like love of the other staff, and by the opportunity to share that same love with campers. Also, she loves Camp Thurman and is excited for this summer because camp is just FUN!
