Away Camps

For those entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade at the time of the camp. Camp Thurman staff and campers will travel to Camp Akiva for six days of a new overnight experience. GetAway runs parallel to our Week 8 day camp sessions, from Monday July 22rd to Saturday July 27th.

Information of drop-off and pick-up times are not yet available.

Our CITIT camp is for those entering the 9th grade who are interested in being Camp Thurman staff. This is a camp for your camper to learn how to serve, not be served, and cultivate leadership skills. CITIT is off-site from Saturday, June 15th (departing from CT) and returning to the CT on Monday, June 17th.

The remainder of the week is at-camp training on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

What to Bring.

Because our away camps are overnight, what you bring to camp with you will be very different than what you would bring to day and night camps at CT! Come back soon for more information as the camp sessions are closer!

For more information on pick-up and drop-off times, a full list of each summer camp week’s calendar dates, and more, go to our registration information page.

Both of our away camp sessions include food in the price of registration, with the exception of the two on-the-field days for the CITIT camp.

The Experience

Every camper here at Camp Thurman has the opportunity to experience a full-range of our activities. Each day when your camper arrives (s)he will participate in Bible time, swimming, ropes activities, skits, snacks, crafts, and much more!
