Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

This is Bonanza’s ninth summer working at Camp Thurman and her fifth year being a counselor. She went every year she could as a camper, and then went straight in to working at Camp Thurman and has been here ever since.

Bonanza graduated from Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and Minor in Spanish, and plans to attend graduate school to fulfill a master’s in marriage and family counseling. She is passionate about helping people, doing mission work, helping the community, and doing outreach. She is so excited to see where the Lord is leading her and how He is using her to make an impact and further His Kingdom.

She loves working at Camp Thurman because she loves the outdoors, encouraging campers to try new things, challenging campers to go deeper in their faith, and helping kids have the time of their lives while learning about Jesus.
