Location
Camp Thurman is a non-resident Christian Camp which was founded in
1969.
Both the
office and the campgrounds of Camp Thurman are located at 3001
Sarah Dr. in Pantego, TX. We are one block north of Pioneer Parkway
(also
called 303) and one block west of S. Bowen Dr. You'll find more
specific
directions on our Directions to Camp
page. The Camp Office is
currently
open Wednesdays from 10:00 to 4:00.

Facilities
We have 14 wooded acres right in the middle of the Arlington
community
with 3 swimming pools, a 40 ft. high 4-line Zipline, a Power pole, 2
climbing
walls, archery/BBs ranges, a Tarzan swing, basketball court, K-Klimb
cargo net climb and short zipline, 3 crafts areas, 3 outdoor meeting
areas
with sound stages, snack shop and trading post, a 60-ft-square
covered
wooden deck, an air-conditioned meeting hall, soccer and softball
fields, a
team wall, a 25 ft high 8-element Challenge in the Sky, 5 additional
low
ropes elements, and 2 large sandboxes.

Programs
Our summer season consists of 11 weekly day camps and 7 afternoon/
evening camps. Our year-round Challenge Adventures group
programs have
events designed for schools, churches, sports teams, corporate
organizations, and community groups. We also have weekend and
evening
events for outreach to groups who are providing help to those with
special
needs.

Administration and
Board Leadership Camp Thurman is a non-profit
organization,
directed by a 12-member board of advisors and an
administrative team
consisting of an executive director, site-director, administrator,
registrar
and webmaster, Challenge Adventure director, community outreach
director,
and an assistant registrar.
