Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

— 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)

Gus Gus

This is Gus Gus’s first year at Camp Thurman and she cannot be more excited. She loves Camp Thurman because of the values that it stands for. She is excited to get the kids fired up for Jesus, and for the kids to hear how amazing and wonderful our Creator is. She hopes to also inspire them to take their faith outside of camp and share it with the friends and family around them. Gus Gus has just graduated from Martin High School and will be attending UTA in the fall. She will be majoring in Exercise Science, and aspires to become a Pediatric Physical Therapist. Last summer, the Lord lead her to go on a mission trip to China. There she found her passion for orphans and a calling to serve the children there. She hopes to one day return and faithfully serve those around her. She hopes that though her service at Camp Thurman and abroad, she can show God’s love and faithfulness and the need for us to trust in Him in all circumstances.
