Celebrating the Life of Iva Roxburgh!

1914 – 2016

On October 11, 2016, we lost part of the heart and soul of Camp Thurman. Our beloved Iva Roxburgh went home to be with the Lord early in the morning. What a homecoming there will be in heaven!

Iva and Thurman Roxburgh were tireless servants of Lord, working with children and teens at Pantego Bible Church for more than 65 years, loving and leading them, encouraging and celebrating them.

In 1974, when the church was looking for a wooded area to expand the activities, they generously offered some acreage behind their home and built a swimming pool for the campers in their backyard.

Over the years more and more land was donated for the camp until it has grown to the size and scope it has today.
