Infinity has been a part of the Camp Thurman experience for a total of six years now, beginning as a camper for two, then a CIT In Training, moving to a CIT, then serving as an Assistant Counselor, and now becoming a Counselor for the first time. She is now a senior graduating from James Martin High School, in Arlington, TX, and will be attending the University of Arkansas in the Fall to study Architecture. Infinity is a devoted Catholic who volunteers and attends mass regularly at St. Vincent De Paul’s Catholic Church. As a camper, she admired the Counselors and Staff of Camp Thurman for providing her the greatest weeks of her summer, while still obtaining a safe environment at all times. Being someone who loves kids, and very protective of her own little sister, she sees just how important and crucial it really is to promote that type of environment for the campers, and parents as well.

Unfortunately, last summer Infinity wasn’t able to work at Camp Thurman, and though it almost seemed as if there wouldn’t be time for it again this summer, she was determined to fit it in because she felt as if God was calling her to do so. Despite her trip to the United Kingdom to represent a tennis touring team this summer, Infinity was able to find the time for Camp Thurman, because the children and spreading the word of God is so important to her. Her love for kids was always demonstrated through her caring for her younger sister, babysitting throughout her life, working at daycares, volunteering for Special Olympics, and coaching children of all ages in the game of tennis. Camp Thurman will forever be one of Infinity’s favorite places, with memories from her childhood and now her job of bringing the Camp to life for the kids and sharing God’s immense love with them. Infinity can’t predict what her future will hold, but she is confident that because of her strong faith and valuable life experiences, such as being a part of the Camp Thurman family, she can overcome whatever obstacles that may cross her path in life.
