These are all day trips on Brazos River near Glen Rose, Texas
We will be able to provide approximately 12 canoes each trip.
Bring a cooler with lunch and plenty of water!
Sunscreen, water shoes, towels and a change of clothes are also needed.
Depart southwest Arlington about 8am and return around 5:30pm.
We will put in and take out near Glen Rose approximately 50 miles southwest of Arlington. The Brazos River is an historic place steeped in Texas history. It is the ancestral home of the Comanche Nation, and much of the river maintains the same natural topography as it did several hundred years ago. This reach of the Brazos is well-suited for paddlers with minimal experience who want to find out how much fun river paddling really is!
There will be a couple of stops along the way to explore and maybe even jump off some rocks for a cool dip. The scenery is every-changing as the river winds through parts of Texas that haven't changed since the Cowboy and Indian days.
No experience with canoes needed - We'll show you how!
Cost is $68 per familyOn the Family Canoe Trip, you may register one or two adults and one or two children per canoe.
On all other canoe trips, you may register one adult and one or two children.
Participants provide their own transportation to the canoe site.
