Fourth season for this exciting GetAway Camp for teens
who have just finished 6th or 7th grade!
GetAway camp is CT’s overnight camp for those finishing 6th and 7th grades. If you’ve ever considered a residential camp but didn’t want to forgo a summer at CT, this is the camp for you! This overnight camp begins with a 2-hour chartered bus ride to Brookhaven Retreat in Hawkins, TX. Different from any other overnight camp, GetAway takes Camp Thurman fun to a whole new place.
While overnight for 5 days/4 nights, campers get to experience tons of new games and challenges, while making plenty of time for fellowship, devotions, and just ‘hanging out.’ Brookhaven Retreat is home to lots of sports areas, slap dodgeball, a man-made lagoon with a zipline, trapeze, and Wet Willy, and a campfire area. With separate air-conditioned dorms for guys and girls, the central meeting room provides a common ground for group devotions, praise and worship time, and even board games for late-night fun.

Registration fee is $425 [$395 if you register by Nov. 15th] and includes camp activities, transportation, lodging, meals, and a special GetAway T-shirt. All meals are prepared and served by Brookhaven Retreat. Additional money to purchase merchandise or snacks can be sent with your camper if desired.
GetAway is only offered once during the 2013 season, Saturday, June 29-Wednesday, July 3.
