Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.

Philippians 3:8 ESV

Cross #6

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

— Matthew 22:37-39

Ristretto

Ristretto attended Camp Thurman as a child and loved it. Thats part of the reason he came to work here. He is also working here because he feels like God is calling him to do some form of ministry with children. When he heard that camp Thurman needed guy workers he knew that that was God. Ristretto is right now trying to find his purpose. All of his quiet times and bible readings are drawing him closer to God and helping him find his purpose in life and what God wants for him. He isn’t going to school right now but if that’s where God leads them, then that’s where he will go. Ristretto couldn’t decide on his favorite verse. He loves Romans 1:16. He also loves all of chapter 5 in Acts. He wants to get to a point in his life where he is as radical as John and Peter. They got arrested and beaten but not only wouldn’t, they couldn’t stop talking about Jesus.
