Tempo

Tempo has been a part of the Camp Thurman family since 2012. She worked as an assistant for one summer and is now entering her fifth summer as a counselor. This position has brought Tempo so much joy and has influenced her decision to pursue a career in education. Tempo graduated this past May from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a focus in Mathematics and plans to teach junior high students in the DFW area in the fall.

The Lord has given Tempo peace that teaching is the career path that best fits her abilities and is the avenue by which He wants her to share His love. She is thankful that Camp Thurman has given her the opportunity to teach God’s word and lead children. This summer Tempo is excited to meet her new campers, see her old campers, share the good news of God’s presence and forgiveness, encourage each camper to trust the Lord in every fun and challenging activity, and make great memories!
